IN LOVING MEMORY OF SHERRY PERKINS MILLER
Sherry Perkins Miller was born on April 18, 1960, and passed away unexpectedly on September 20, 2023. Out of 5 children, she was the only daughter of Paul and Juanell Perkins. She was a graduate of Lancaster High School, Lancaster Texas and received a business degree from Mountain View College. Sherry was a dedicated employee at StarrTech for 30 years and was a Senior Underwriter. She was able to retire early in May of 2012 due to her sound financial planning.
Sherry loved and was actively engaged with her Magnolia Beach Community, having resided there for many years. She was a founding member of Marker 48 Beach Fellowship where she was very active and served on the board of directors. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved friends at the Saltwater Saloon, the Indianola Fishing Marina and various other functions within the community including the holiday golf cart parades and fundraising events. She was also known for attempting to play the tambourine in her bestie Jenny’s band, HiWay 316. Sherry had the kindest soul and was always willing to open her heart to those in need. She had many adoring friends but none more cherished than her precious YaYa Sisterhood.
Sherry is survived by her loving, devoted husband and soul mate, Duane Miller, her three brothers, her two adult children, three adult bonus children, five grandchildren, one greatgrandchild and “two yappy ass dogs”. She left all that loved her with holes in their hearts and countless beautiful, precious memories. We know she is rejoicing with our Lord and Savior, playing the tambourine in perfect beat with the music and watching over us from above.
Save a seat for us, sister, until we meet again!
Celebration of life will be held October 8th, 2023, at Indianola Fishing Marina at 10am. The service will be streamed live on the Marker 48 Beach Fellowship Facebook page for family and friends that are unable to attend in person.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be submitted to Marker 48 Beach Fellowship via Oran Moses or Jenny Weigel.
