In Loving Memory of Lloyd D. Canion
October 28, 1931 – May 21, 2025
Lloyd D. Canion, a devoted family man, proud cowboy, and lifelong rice farmer, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on October 28, 1931, Lloyd spent his life doing what he loved — working the land, raising cattle, and living by a code of hard work, honesty, and faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Bessie Canion, and his siblings, Mavis Saylor, Selby Canion, Jimmie Canion, Tommy Canion, and Larry Canion.
Lloyd is survived by his loving wife, Vicki J. Canion, and his children: Kasi (Brandon) Critendon, Julie (Chuck) Frankson, Martin (Crystal) Canion, and Clinton Canion. He was a proud grandfather to Brantley (Kori) Bordovsky, Karly Critendon (Caleb Kubacak), Kaily Critendon , McKenlie, Canion, Adalyn Frankson, and Cire Canion. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Bradley Sherrod and Kirby Jean Bordovsky. Also leaves behind his sister Shirley Canion, and many other family members and friends.
In lieu of flower donations may be made to First National Bank (Port Lavaca) to the “Lloyd Canion Jolly Rancher Fund”. Funds to support youth agriculture.
