Laura Marie Claborn

Laura Marie Claborn, aged 67, passed away October 17, 2025 in Victoria, TX. She was born September 13,1958 to Early and Johnnie Lee Harvey in Palacios, TX.

She is survived by daughter Marie Wuensche (Preston Winters), granddaughters Olivia Wuensche, Sophie Wuensche and Nyla Winters all of Bandon, OR; grandson Jack Claborn of Fulton, TX; ex-husband and life long friend Jerry Claborn of San Antonio, TX; sister Wendy Spiegel of Yoakum, TX; brother Johnny Harvey of Palacios, TX as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son David Claborn, siblings Dennis Harvey, Sr, Leonard Harvey, Jackie Backus, Rose Williams, James Harvey and Glen Eddie Harvey.

Laura grew up in Palacios and graduated from Texas School for the Deaf in 1978. After graduation, she worked as a data clerk before her marriage to Jerry and becoming a mother to her children. Laura loved crafting, bingo and reading and will be missed by family and friends. A special thank you to all the staff of Riverside Oaks for all of their compassionate loving care in the final months of her life.

A Memorial service will be held December 30,2025 at East Bay Pavilion, Palacios, Texas at 11am.
