Lane grew up in Bay City, TX. He was very passionate about his family and strong in his faith. He was very adventurous, down for anything, and always made a good time out of nothing. He never met a stranger and he loved everyone. He saw the good in everyone and cared about everyone’s well being. He was always lending a hand to any and everyone. He enjoyed listening to classic rock and working out on his spare time.

Preceded in death by his mother, Claudi Roberson; father Gerald Wells; brothers Gerald Wells, jr and Claude Wells.

Survived by wife, Cheryl Wells; daughter Katelyn Wells and fiancé Jacob West of Tyler; step-daughters, Emily Salinas and husband Eric Salinas of Victoria, Amanda Turner and Brandon Sanchez of Victoria; sister Veleda English; Brother Cary Wells; grandkids; Aubree Baker, Joseph Holt, Ashtin Holt, Connor Holt, Olivia Salinas, Veda Salinas and Skylar Salinas; and numerous lifelong friends.

Memorial service will be held July 15th at 10 a.m. at Calvary Baptist in Bay City.
