Lance Crowson Obituary

Lance was born in New Mexico, but was raised mostly overseas in Nigeria and later Singapore. They moved back to the states permanently when he was a teenager.  He has worked in many career fields; welder, machine repairman, overhead door installer, safety supervisor, and as a CTE instructor for Calhoun County Schools.  He was an avid reader, enjoyed working with his hands and building things, and until a deer committed suicide by jumping in front of his motorcycle, he was an enthusiastic biker with a deep and bizarre sense of humor.

Lance escaped the bonds of Earth on April 27th, 2021, from heart failure.  Lance was preceded in death by his father, Albert Wayne Crowson, and his younger brother, Bruce Alan Crowson.  He is survived by his mother, Marian Raye Vance Crowson, and his son, Bruce Alan Crowson, whom he named after his little brother.  He is loved by many, and will be missed by many more. His students will almost certainly miss his bad jokes, though his administrators probably won't. In lieu of flowers or cards, please send donations to Calhoun County Schools for the Career and Technology Department in his honor.  A memorial service will be scheduled at a future time in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Fly free, Mr. Corvidae, you will be missed.
