Johnnie "John" Ream Obituary

Johnnie “John” B. Ream, 73, of Victoria, Texas passed away at home peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.  John was born on April 11, 1949, in Toledo, Ohio to “Mary Joan Hoke” and “Robert Arthur Ream” and later moved to Texas in the 80s.  He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Jan Ream, Three children John Jr (Jamie), Jesse, and Justin of Virginia, two step-children Tammy and Timothy (Melissa), and his eleven grandchildren Ashton, Ricky, Ty (Alex), Brenden (Kim), Katie, Olivia, Chance, Phylicia, Dalton, Hope, Faith, Chanin, David, and Ryan, as well as six great-grandchildren, Madalynn, Hailey, Kylie, Kinsley, Nyomi, and Alayna and proceeded by two children Jennifer and Frankie and one stepdaughter Mylinda.

In addition to being an endearing husband and father, John was an Army Veteran, accomplished tradesman electrician, and devoted friend. He faced death many times in life from the Vietnam war to his hazardous profession and always showed up with a plan for how to get the hard or tough work that had to be done, done right; his grit and tenacity were barred none. John loved family, dogs, fishing, and a nice warm meal; He could fix anything that broke, build anything you could describe to him, and make something out of nothing as he never threw anything away and kept old things to purpose them in new ways, shapes, and forms. Most of all, John was a quiet yet passionately sensitive man, who never forgot to say, “I love you.” A Memorial is still TBD.
