Harry, 86, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2020. He left his earthly home to meet the author of his favorite book, The Holy Bible. He read the precious Word of God seventy-five times from Genesis through Revelation, not including all of the hours that he spent in research and study for himself and in preparation for teaching.
Harry was born in Houston, Texas, on November 2, 1933, to the late Harry Clement Hill and Jewell Arlene Osborne Hill.
He married Barbara Maxey on December 24, 1955, and they were together for 64 years, 2 months and 14 days.
Harry grew up in University Park/Highland Park in Dallas and graduated from Highland Park High School in 1951. He attended Southern Methodist University for two years before joining the U.S. Air Force. Harry was stationed at Foster Air Force Base, Victoria, Texas, with the 450th Fighter Day Group. He was honorably discharged in 1961.
Harry worked for Lowry and Seale Engineers for twenty-one years and numerous other engineering firms before his retirement.
Harry is survived by his wife, Barbara, his son Steve (Joan) of Tupelo, Mississippi, his daughter, Deborah of Victoria, Texas, 5 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Dorothy LaRocca of Colorado Springs, Colorado, 1 niece, 2 nephews and 2 cousins.
