Bobby Adams

It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Bobby Adams announces his passing on April 8, 2025.

Bobby embodied the essence of home and was the proud patriarch of the Adams family. He married Dana Callaway, and together they built a home that became a sanctuary for all who entered. Bobby was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. With his signature wit and unyielding will, he instilled love, strength, righteousness, and compassion—not only in his three children but in his four beloved grandchildren.

He had a deep love for the outdoors, an irreverent fondness for food he “wasn’t supposed to eat,” and above all, cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren.

Bobby will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Dana; his children: Breka McKinney (Burl McKinney), Mallory Hibbert, and Bo Adams (Landry Adams); and his grandchildren: Mimma McKinney, Emmy Lou McKinney, Lyla Adams, and Barron Adams. He is also survived by his sister, Gay Adams; his brother, Johnny Mack Pursell; and many beloved relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Betty Pursell, John Pursell, and T.L. Adams; and his brother, Freddy Adams.

A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held on Saturday, April 26th at 2:00 PM at A Little “Britt” of Heaven in Refugio, TX.
