Aureliano T. Vargas Jr

Aureliano T. Vargas, Jr., 75, went to be with the Lord Thursday, January 29, 2026. J.R. was born on January 9, 1951, in Goliad, Texas. He loved playing cards, dominoes, and pool with family and friends and of course loved playing bingo when he got the chance. He was an avid sports fan and had an ongoing love/hate relationship with the Dallas Cowboys. He will be remembered for his kindness to others as he never met a stranger.

On February 11, 2026, a Holy Rosary will be held at 9:30 AM, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Goliad, Texas followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM with Father Ty Bazar officiating.

J.R. is preceded in death by his parents Julia & Ramon Garcia and Aureliano & Apolonia Vargas. He is survived by his siblings: Fidel Vargas, Erma Bustamante, Roland Vargas, Andy Garcia, Edward Garcia, Raymond Garcia, Julie Marie Crane, and Duve Reyes.
