Arlen Ray Berger

Arlen Ray Berger, 87, of Goliad passed peacefully on Sunday, October 27, 2024. He was born to Rudy and Lula Rae (Thigpen) Berger of Goliad on July 4, 1937.

He is survived by his wife Gloria (Karnei) Berger of 65 years; his daughter, Sharon (Mark) Lubianski of Corpus Christi, TX and three other children; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother, Michael (Josie) Berger; sisters, Myra Sue (Jim) Schulze, Karen Harvey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Teresa Partain; and younger brother Larry Berger.  

Arlen enjoyed artwork, fishing and working in his garden. He also enjoyed going on bus trips with executive tours. He retired from AT&T with 37 years of faithful service and 12 years with Goliad Independent School District.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 7th at 10am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Goliad with Visitation starting at 9am.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be given to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Goliad Knights of Columbus, Goliad EMS or Masses.
