Adan "Adam" Elizondo Obituary

Adan "Adam" Tomas Elizondo, born on September 15, 1944, in Woodsboro, Texas, to Gonzalo and Guadalupe Elizondo, passed away on January 15, 2026. He was a longtime resident of Victoria, Texas.

He was married to Dolores Yanez Elizondo, and together they built a loving and close-knit family. Adam was a devoted father to six children, a proud Popo to twelve grandchildren, and a cherished great-grandfather to seven great-grandchildren. His family was the center of his life, and he will be remembered for his strength, dedication, and love for those around him.

Adam proudly served his country in the United States Army before beginning a long and dedicated career with Amoco, where he worked faithfully for 31 years.

He enjoyed fishing and playing all sorts of games with his family that brought lots of laughter and joy. We will never know how he won so many games of Five Crowns! Adam never met a stranger. You will never go hungry at their house; he was always offering everything they had. Adam spent a lot of time keeping a pristine lawn.

Adam believed in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He found peace and strength in reading his Bible.

Adam is survived by his wife; Dolores Elizondo, they were together over 60 years. Also, his loving children: Barbara (Steve) Berry of Bryan, Texas; Dena (Bubba) Campbell of Oakville, Texas; Emma Bourgeois of Leander, Texas; Rena (Jeff) Alderson of Austin, Texas; Kay (Jay) Gregston of Victoria, Texas; and Adam Elizondo Jr. of Victoria, Texas.

Adam was preceded in death by his brothers, Gilbert Elizondo, Ray Elizondo, and Gonzalo Elizondo; his sisters, Eva Basaldua, Yolanda Blaker, and Emma Alvarez; and his beloved grandson, Scott Wynn.
