For 85 years, 10 months, & 8 days this beautiful soul walked this earth. She will be remembered for her kindness & caring ways… and her wit, she was funny! She was always making us laugh. Her sweet snicker & sideways grin will be greatly missed.
She spent 20 years moving around this country, following her husband during his military career, working as a waitress while raising her family. She continued waitressing for 30+ years after settling in Corpus Christi, working at Floyd’s on SPID & Andy’s kitchen for over 20 years until her retirement in 1998 after more than 50 years of waitressing.
She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all her “Adopted” kids and grands, including Toni Alhborn. She enjoyed reading, bingo, casino trips, gardening and beautiful sunsets. She also loved her peppermint candy, ice cream & fried catfish. She was a fantastic cook & showed her love by feeding everyone. We will dearly miss our Memaw!!
A celebration of her life will be held at her home on her 86th birthday, April 16th at 6 p.m. until sunset.
In lieu of flowers a random act of kindness or generous waitstaff tip in her honor would make her smile!
She leaves us very rich in memories.
